1. Choose the item and dealer

Confirm the suppressor is legal in the buyer’s location and that the receiving FFL/SOT will accept the transfer. The dealer should verify the exact item and serialized record before filing. SSC’s cart, bid and listing tools organize the commercial transaction; they do not approve the federal transfer.

2. Prepare the applicable Form 4

The transferor and transferee prepare the current ATF Form 4 through the approved workflow. Individual and trust/legal-entity filings have different responsible-person requirements. Use the current official form and instructions for photographs, fingerprints, certifications, payment and supporting documents.

3. Submit biometrics and certify

Fingerprints, photographs and any responsible-person materials must be handled by the approved filing or dealer process. Never enter an ATF eForms password or PIN into SSC’s general customer portal. The person assigned those credentials must personally complete required certification actions.

4. Wait for ATF action

The item stays with the authorized possessor while the application is pending. Processing estimates are not guarantees. ATF’s public dashboard should be treated as the current source for broad timing information.

5. Complete the current Form 4473

After approval and before the licensed dealer makes the final disposition, the buyer personally completes the required portions of the current Form 4473 in the dealer’s approved system. The dealer handles item details, identification, applicable background-check or NFA exception fields, certification and record retention.

SSC data boundary

Your encrypted customer profile can help staff coordinate the order. It is not copied into Form 4473. Completed Form 4473 answers, signatures, ATF credentials and raw fingerprint files do not belong in the general marketplace CRM.

6. Dealer verifies and transfers

The dealer confirms approval, identity, residency and every other requirement that applies before possession changes. If information has changed or the transaction cannot lawfully proceed, the dealer pauses the transfer and follows the current instructions.
