Why this program exists

Most suppressor commerce is optimized for new inventory. Owners who want to change platforms, reduce a collection or move to a different mounting ecosystem often lack a familiar marketplace designed around the extra documentation and transfer steps. SSC’s model is to pair normal marketplace tools—photos, offers, auctions and price discovery—with licensed-dealer controls.

What happens before publication

  1. Seller submission: make, model, only the final four serial characters, estimated rounds, finish, condition, accessories and photographs.
  2. Ownership and registration review: the licensed team confirms the seller and item can enter the proposed transfer path. Full regulated records do not appear in a public listing.
  3. Physical intake or coordinated inspection: visible finish, markings, bore, mounting surfaces and included components are reviewed.
  4. Condition grade: Excellent, Very Good, Good or Fair, supported by photographs and written disclosure.
  5. Sale format: dealer offer, fixed price, offer-enabled listing or auction, with all SSC fees shown before submission.
What “verified” means

It means the listing completed the documented SSC intake steps displayed on that listing. It is not a guarantee of future performance, and it does not replace the manufacturer’s inspection or the legally required transfer process.

What buyers should see

A strong used listing identifies the exact model, stated condition, estimated use, cosmetic wear, included mounts or pistons, original packaging when present, service history supplied by the seller, sale format and dealer-transfer requirements. Public pages show only the minimum serial reference needed to distinguish the listing.

How the transfer works

A sale agreement does not authorize possession. The serialized item stays inside the approved FFL/SOT workflow while the applicable NFA transfer is prepared, submitted and approved. The receiving dealer completes the current Form 4473 and identity/eligibility steps required for the final disposition. Exact steps depend on the parties, location and current law.

Returns and disputes

Before launch, SSC’s production terms should distinguish a marketplace cancellation from a regulated-item return. Once a transfer has progressed, reversing it may require additional dealer handling or approved NFA action. No customer should ship or hand off a suppressor without written dealer instructions.
