The problem we are solving
A suppressor can outlast the owner’s first host, caliber plan or mounting system. Yet changing that setup is harder than it should be. General firearms marketplaces are broad; local dealer inventory is finite; and private sellers can struggle to explain condition, value and the transfer sequence to a national audience.
SSC is being built to make that narrow category easier to navigate. New and pre-owned inventory share one searchable catalog. Used items receive structured intake and condition disclosure. Auctions and offers support price discovery. Customer accounts separate Buying from Selling. Dealer operations connect inventory, orders and transfer milestones while the BoundBook, approved e4473 solution and secure biometric systems remain authoritative.
ATF reported 3,536,623 registered silencers nationwide as of May 2024.
ATF reported 471,239 Form 4 transactions processed during calendar year 2023.
Reported Form 4 processing grew from 57,294 in 2013 to 471,239 in 2023.
Why pre-owned matters
A larger installed base naturally creates owners who want to simplify, upgrade or change platforms. A responsible second-hand channel can keep durable equipment in lawful use, improve access to discontinued or value-priced models, and give owners a structured alternative to an informal sale. That channel only earns trust when it is transparent about fees, condition and the transfer path.
Our operating principle
Keep the shopping experience straightforward and keep regulated records where they belong. SSC’s general CRM can coordinate communication, preferences and status. It should not become a shadow BoundBook or a casual repository for completed federal forms, ATF credentials or raw fingerprints.
